West Nashville United Methodist Church is a community church located at 4710 Charlotte Avenue (next to McDonald's across from Richland Park Library) in the heart of West Nashville, just off the I-40 exit for 46th Ave. With people of all ages, multiple races and from all walks of life, we seek to be a loving community and do the work we are inspired to do through the reality of Jesus, God's divine presence in the world. We are a community that not only worships together but practices our faith in our larger community. We have many programs throughout the week and many opportunities to volunteer including: food pantry and free community meals; aid and transition help for the homeless, poor, immigrants and refugees; partnerships with community and non-profit agencies. Church happens throughout the week, but our Sunday morning service is a special time of gathering where we exchange the peace of Christ. We celebrate the presence of God in the world and in our hearts through our worship with liturgy, prayer, sermons, communion and a wide range of musical styles including classical pipe organ and hymns to alternative and folk/bluegrass.
